This post will explain how to make use of IK(Inverse Kinematics) feature to animate with less effort. IK simplifies the animation process, and makes it possible to make more advanced animations with lesser effort. Lets go with an example,
How to make a simple sitting posture:
Select the Hip Bone and move it down. Note that you just need to down the Hip Bone, no need to rotate knee or other bones, ever other bones will automatically transform itself. See the result below, almost 90% it is done.
Now move the hip in backward (z direction).
Now select the Wrist Bone and place the hands as you wish. That’s it simply done.
Below is a Sakrasana yoga posture done with IK’s help.
